After the pandemic, we all felt how our work habits have changed: remote performance of work, planning, organization, communication. Businesses quickly adapted to remote work, as a result of which offices became empty and became nothing more than additional costs. However, after adapting to new working habits, other problems appeared that dissolved the boundaries of “nine to five” work, it became difficult to feel the pulse of the team and maintain communication between the people of the organization.
According to research conducted by CNN, after three years of the pandemic, in US organizations there is a noticeable return of employees back to the offices, which exceeds 50% occupancy. From what it can be seen that the concept of office as a working space has not disappeared anywhere, office spaces have simply transformed and become more flexible, sustainable, safer and more efficiently used.
Our team designed the office interior design of Expertmedia digital marketing agency. The goal of the project was to maintain balance and create functional, easily transformable spaces to which the collective would like to return. When designing, we paid attention to the changed work habits, maintained the distances between workplaces and solved the issues of the ventilation system, which became an integral part of hygiene after the pandemic. We paid special attention to the ergonomics of the premises, which would free the staff from inefficient flows, unhindered communication between different departments, and employees could freely choose where and how they want to work.
In the interior, the staff can move in a circle and feel the depth of the space. The glass partitions made it possible to preserve the maximum amount of daylight entering the space, as this has a particularly significant impact on our productivity.
Of course, the most fun part is the lighting, in the creation of which we go a few extra miles. Lighting must comply with hygiene standards and provide absolute comfort to employees. For smart lighting, we have designed sensors that respond to daylight and determine the required lighting for work spaces. The sustainable and efficient solution maintains balanced lighting and saves electricity consumption.
The main leitmotif of the interior became “Tic-Tac-Toe”, which are not only symbols of a well-known childhood game, but also universal signs that allow easy application of them, lamps, decor and LED NEON forms. This solution gave the office space more playfulness.
